Mission Statement

Our mission is to establish an educational organization that brings youth and adults together in a nurturing environment. We use our presentation of model aviation to foster STEM goals, personal growth, decision-making skills, and self-confidence.

Vision Statement

We strengthen the community through the growth we encourage. We teach respect, courtesy and technical skills in a positive fashion.

Teaching Safe, Responsible Fun

FAE is a community based organization, not just a flying club. We provide education in aviation science and math, insured airplane and helicopter flying site, community service, Humpty Dumpty classes (aircraft repair sessions), flight training with gas and electric aircraft and other functions as the community and our members require. At present we have 24 adult members and 4 junior members. Our insured flying site is north of the Sardou bridge on the west bank east of the levee. With the cooperation of Shawnee County Parks and Rec, we developed a free indoor airplane flying site open to the public which is available at Crestview Community Center  most Thursdays 10:30-12. We work in concert with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (modelaircraft.org) a nationwide educational organization that promotes and insures model aviation.

we teach people to fly
